Details Distillery, founded by Ingram, Lamb and Co, dating from circa 1780.. It stands on the north west edge of Oldmeldrum. It consists of a pleasant group of coursed-rubble buildings with the most prominent being a 4-storey, 3 by 11 bay block of maltings, an adjoining 3-storey range and a pair of pyramidal-roofed kilns. The still-house is a 3-storey building with 1 and 2 storey ancillary structures, including a boiler-house with a circular-section brick chimney. There is a range of 1-storey and attic bonded stores. This distillery has been producing whisky since 1797. The barley is still malted at the distillery, where it is laid out on floors and controlled by hand and eye.
