Laundry for Haddo House, built circa 1845 in the 'style of J and W Smith', now in residential use. Situated on the first terrace above the Ythan, the location takes advantage of the fall in ground for an additional half storey as well as proximity to water. The 1st edition OS map shows a T-plan building with garden to the south. It had been extended to form a more rectangular plan by the time of the 2nd edition OS map. The laundry is built of pinned rubble with granite dressings and has a low-pitched, broad-eaved roof. An extension was added in 1975. A photographic record was carried out in 2007 prior to proposed conversion.
