Remains of possible stone circle, now comprising two quartz boulders. According to Pratt (1870) these boulders were known as the 'Muckle Stane of Auchmaliddie', which he described as a fallen rocking stone. The name is not known locally. Coles records a local tradition of a stone circle and suggests that a slight swelling a few yards to the north of the stones is the original mound on which the circle stood. There is now no trace of a 'slight swelling'. The larger stone, 3 m x 1.8 m x 0.7 m thick, lies northeast-southwest and the other to the southeast. Whilst noted that this large stone would make a suitable recumbent stone for a recumbent stone circle, there is no further evidence of this. Also known locally as the 'Cockerty Stones'.
