Details Shipyard dating to the later 19th century and 20th century, and engineering works. Depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows two timber yards and a shipbuilding yard on the site. By the time of the 2nd edition much of the timber yard at the rear of the site is occupied by buildings. It comprises a large complex of buildings of various dates. The main engineering works is steel framed with granite rubble cladding. See also NJ90NE0282.
