Remains of a World War II coastal battery with two 6inch gun emplacements. Situated just north of Greyhope Road, in 1940 it had 2 6-inch Mk XIIB guns, reduced to care and maintenance status in April 1945 and removed later that year, the battery later being demolished. RAF aerial photographs (1945) show the accommodation camp, and triple line of barbed-wire perimeter fence as well as the two gun emplacements. RCAHMS site visit 2002 noted that traces of concrete plinth are visible at the site which now lies within Balnagask golf course.
