It has a leaded dome above a recessed timber ventilation course with segmental-arched louvre vents. There are round-arched insets to the north, south and east elevations, each with a pair of narrow round-arched openings. It formed part of the Girdleness sewage outfall system, aimed at creating a new waste disposal system for the City. Recorded by field survey April 2008 by HAS.
