Details Jetty dating from circa 1796 with capstan. It is a small tapering jetty of roughly hewn granite rubble construction with a circular head, located near the mouth of Aberdeen Harbour and the River Dee. The capstan is of cast iron with a fluted shaft and turning wheel to the centre. Also on the jetty is a pair of cast-iron bollards with chains. It is depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps.
