Details War memorial commemorating those from the Fittie area killed in the First and Second World Wars. Designed by John Caie of Pittodrie Granite Works, and unveiled on 16th August 1919. A second unveiling took place in May 1949. It is an obelisk on a series of stepped bases oriented to the points of the compass. Two relief panels on the obelisk illustrate servicemen, one a Gordon Highlander looking inland, the other a sailor looking out to sea. It is enclosed by a plain gated railing. The World War I names are inscribed on three sides of the pedestal, the World War II names on three tablets set against the steps. It also lists mariners lost, and includes names of some lost in earlier wars.
