Details Well uncovered during construction of the Geography Department. The upper two courses were of red brick, the lower courses drystone. It had an internal diameter of 1-1.5m and a surviving depth of 1.5m. A gravestone was found in the well; the inscription reads HEER LYES T… OE HENRY KIL… BVRGES IN ABD-DE… OCTOBER. 1660 HIS AGE 96 AND ELIZABETH ANDER…ON ... SPOVS WHO .. 1659.
