Former railway headquarters, now a hotel comprising two interlinked buildings, No. 80 designed by Ellis and Wilson 1894, No.78 designed by RG Wilson, 1900. The Great North of Scotland Railway Company built and moved their railway headquarters at No 80 Guild Street in 1894. They acquired the adjoining No.78 in 1910, both passing to LNER in 1923. No. 80 is 4-storey double gabled Baroque hotel, No 78 slightly recessed is a 3-storey with basement 13-bay former railway headquarters with a distinctive entrance doorway.
