Details A watching brief was carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit in 1989 on several small trenches opened up during the installation of floodlights on the west frontage in 1989. The foundations of the 1832 frontage were exposed. A drainage channel was discovered running parallel to this frontage and as thought to be associated with its construction. At the front of the site was a cobbled area which may be of fairly recent date.
