Built of granite ashlar with some channelled rustication. The Union Street elevation is symmetrical with 2-storey Corinthian pilasters separating the central bays. There are blind balustraded balconies to the first storey windows, and round-arched tripartite windows to the first storey outer bays with pink granite Ionic columned mullions. Internally there is a square-plan, 3 bay Corinthian columned entrance hall with oval cupola.
