House dating from the later 18th century. It is a 2-storey with attic and basement, 3-bay Classical townhouse, built of squared and coursed granite with a moulder cornice. It has a grey slate roof, ashlar skews and broad gable end stacks with moulded octagonal cans. Windows are 12-pane sash and case. It is likely that the building originally had a central doorway similar to that at No. 27. Now in commercial use. A watching brief carried out by S Buchanan in July 2007 on the site of a proposed development between Caberstone house and the Belmont cinema exposed some of the foundations of Caberstone House but produced no other archaeological levels. The ground on site was made-up ground cut through by services.
