Details	A desk based assessment of the proposed Union Square development area identified the possibility for buried medieval deposits on the site. A watching brief was carried out by AOC between August 2007 and November 2008 during limited groundworks (water extraction pit and service trenches) within a proposed development area. Fragmentary remains of 20th century buildings were uncovered but no other features or artefacts of archaeological significance.
