Former Lodge to Duthie Park, dating from the late 19th century, relocated here in the mid 20th century. Probably designed by John Rust, circa 1883, it was the West Lodge (NJ 93575 04480) to Duthie Park (NJ90SW0989), until the road widening of Great Southern Road in 1938 when it was removed and rebuilt in its present location. The exterior is largely unaltered although the interior reflects the later rebuilding period. It is a single-storey and attic, two-bay lodge with Scots baronial detailing, constructed with tooled coursed dark grey granite with finely finished contrasting light grey long and short dressings. It has a base course, chamfered cills and reveals, stepped hoodmoulds with nailhead label stops, stop-chamfered long and short quoins, crowstepped gables, stone finials to apexes, predominantly timber sash and case windows and some PVCu windows to the rear. The green-grey graded slate roof has tiled ridges, stone skews with beaked skewputts, corniced ridge stacks with octagonal cans and cast-iron rainwater goods with decorative top hoppers. Inside is a simple 1930s interior with Art Deco door furniture and bathroom. There are square-plan gatepiers with pyramidal caps to the south, low coped walls between and rubble walls to the remainder.
