Episcopal church of St Mary the Virgin, built in 1864 as an Episcopalian Mission Hall primarily for English fishermen and their families settled there to work with the Coastguard and living in coastguard cottages along what is now Loirston Road. It was consecrated in 1868, and remodelled in the 1920s including the addition of dormer windows with commemorative stained glass panels circa 1929. It is on a rectangular plan with an apsidal west end, built of squared granite rubble with stugged granite dressings, part replaced at the time of the 1920s remodelling. depicted on the OS 2nd edition map.
