House dating from the mid to later 18th century. It is a single storey rectangular plan classical house, with a half-sunken basement, and an attic. Built of coursed tooled granite with polished sandstone dressings, with a graded grey slate roof with coped stone skews with curved skewputts. The principal (northeast) elevation is symmetrical with a 19th century flat-roofed timber porch advanced to the centre at ground floor. To the northeast of the house are square-plan tooled granite gatepiers with pyramidal caps. The boundary walls are of random rubble. Much of the policies have been developed for housing.
