Details A watching brief was carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit in January 2010 on ground excavations for a hotel extension (see also NJ90SW0995 - house/hotel). Two trenches were excavated, one in the raised area of lawn and one on the lower access track, both within the footprint of the proposed extension. A cut for the foundation of the hotel wall was recorded cut into natural sands and gravels. No finds were recorded.
