Details Site of a chapel. A wayside chapel was constructed at the northeast of the Bridge of Dee (NJ90SW0043) in the 16th century, for travellers to make devotions on starting or finishing a journey. It was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and initially under the guardianship of the town council. Form the outset it caused controversy with claims that it was an obstacle to fishing rights.
