Details	Site of a farmstead depicted on historic OS maps and described in the OS Name Book 1868-9 as 'A large farm building with gardens and outhouses, and neat ornamental plots of ground attached..' . The 1st edition shows three buildings, including a U-plan steading with a farmhouse to the west. The steading contained a threshing barn with waterwheel fed by a lade from a pond to the west-southwest. Two more buildings had been added by the time of the 2nd edition map.
