Details Former church, no longer in use, built in 1829, designed by John Smith. It replaced the medieval church which is thought to have stood on approximately the same site. It is in perpendicular style, of pinned rubble with wood tracery and a battlemented west tower with belfry. The tower is of four stages with slender buttresses at each corner topped by tall gabletted pinnacles. The church incorporates fragments of the earlier church including 1704 belfry, 1763 weather vane and 1759 Mowat bell. There is watch house. The church is surrounded by a large graveyard, extended in the 20th century to incorporate a war memorial (NJ90SW1015). The churchyard contains 22 Commonwealth war graves of the First and Second World Wars.
