Details Country house with stables, coach house, boat house (NJ92SW0171) and two associated lodges, still in use. It was designed by John Cameron and built by James Scott and Co of Aberdeen. The house dated 1911 and is a sub-baronial mansion built as a 'Spanish Villa' for Bolivian tin magnate, James Rollo Duncan. It comprises two storeys with basement, five bays on a U-plan with enclosed centre courtyard forming a rectangular plan. It shows an early use of concrete, unusual for a country house of some size. It shows a mix of interior styles. The glazed courtyard is a particularly distinctive feature. The walled garden and terrace lie to the southwest of the house.
