Details Standing stone of likely late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date. The earthfast whinstone is 1 m square on plan and 2.5 m in height. Towards the top the stone widens to 1.5 m before tapering again to 0.6 m at its top. The stone's faces are aligned north-south and east-west. Scheduled as Candle Stone, 115m west of Drumwhindle House, a single standing stone. The upstanding monolith occupies a position 55 m above sea level on a level area of pasture land overlooking the Ebrie Burn, 700 m to the east. There is recent field clearance around its base.
