Former laundry of Aden House, possibly dating from the late 18th century. It is an early traditional 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan laundry sited between the now ruinous Aden House and its semicircular steading. Retains original openings with small horizontal windows to first floor. Harled with stone margins. Irregular rubble base course. Narrow granite margins and quoin strips. Symmetrical principal elevation to the south incorporating centre door with later simple lean-to porch canopy, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration close to eaves at first floor. There are 6- and 12-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Grey slate with small cast iron rooflights. Harled gablehead stacks with polygonal cans. Ashlar-coped skews. Converted to North East Folklore Archive in 1995, by architect Leslie Hunter of Cullen.
