Remains of mansion house and cottage. Nethermuir House is a ruin, dated probably 1803. It is 2-storey attic and basement, ashlar fronted, with a little plasterwork inside. The angle turrets were perhaps added by Lord Provost Leslie after he purchased it in 1872. The porch dated May 1924 is in Baronial style, rising full height of house. James May of Auchnagatt bought the house about that time. Nethermuir House recently restored but unlisted. The cottage is of uncertain date. It appears originally to have been very low 2-storey, but now single-storey, 2-window and centre door. It has the date DG (Gordon) and IW 1595 at lintel, DG and coat-of-arms at one skewput and a grotesque head at the other. It is rubble-built with splayed openings. Designed Landscape NJ94SW0094).
