Details Former mansion house, and farmstead, The house in a T-plan form, dating to the late 17th or early 18th centuries, is apparently of two building dates. Formerly the old Laird of Haddo's house, now a farmhouse, it has a symmetrical 6-window front, and a wooden porch of circa 1800 with pilastered angles and imitation rustication down the sides. A skewputt is decorated with the initials AB and MC, the B probably for Bisset. There is a record of a William Watson of Haddo, bailey of Rattray in 1675. Bought circa 1700 by a William Black. East of the house are the rubble built steadings. There are also the remains of a walled garden.
