Walled gardens, built in the mid 18th century and later. The walled gardens are mainly brick, but with a small part in stone. The larger north section is on the axis of Rattray House (NK05NE0015), with curved flank walls linking to it. A triangular arched gate with granite in and out quoins and voussoirs is dated 'J.C. H.H.C. 1842', although it looks older than this date. There are a pair of red granite gatepiers with ball finials at the north end of the driveway in front of the house and another pair at the south end that are similar but with curved flanking walls and square, rubble-built, pyramid roofed lodges with tall finials (evidently the old main entrance) both mid 18th century. There is another pair of rusticated gatepiers with pyramid capping in the south-east corner of the garden.
