Former manse, still in residential use, built in 1803 with additions in 1852 by William Smith. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as an irregular U-plan building, with an L-plan and rectangular-plan building to the east and rectangular-plan building to the south. On the 2nd edition OS map a walled garden with a curved north wall has been added to the north. Current OS maps show the building to the south has been extended, and is now named Manse Cottage. One of the buildings to the east is depicted as roofless, and the other has been reduced in size. The later 19th century walled garden section to the north now contains a house named Rathen Lodge. The C-listed former manse building has a two-storey and basement, two-window granite rubble original 1803 section with a piend roof and centre chimney. The bay windows at the ground floor and basement and other additions are from 1852. There are associated former offices to the east (NK06SW0109).
