Walled garden, still in use, probably built in the 1780s by Robert Burn, Edinburgh, and extended to the east prior to1899. It is sited to the south-east of Cairness House (NK06SW0016). The well-preserved walls form an unusual sac-shape with a straight east wall and bowed west wall, widening from the short north end to the longer south wall. They are constructed from coped, coursed and random, snecked, rubble with large roughly squared quoins, with voussoired, segmental-arched gateways in the south and east walls. There is also a square-headed, brick-lintelled pedestrian gateway at the south and a later outer wall forming a narrow brick-lined strip at the east wall. At the north wall are the remains of a lean-to greenhouse, and there is a aluster sundial by G Adams, London, within the garden.
