Lighthouse, built in 1895 and still in use. It is an unusual structure with a massive circular granite platform base supporting a circular section-tower of white, enamelled pre-clay brick with lantern and dome. Designed by David Alan Stevenson. The tower is circa 16.8 m in diameter, the base is circa 13.4 m high, and the brick tower is circa 14 m high. The lighthouse has been used as an Ordnance Survey trigonometrical survey intersected station (sighting point), as depicted on the 5th edition OS map.
