Details Remains of a shipwreck recorded in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. The wooden timber remains are thought to be the wreck of the Excelsior, which was stranded in 1881 (NK15SW0091). The wreck is circa 40 m in length (visible), width 8.5 m. There are 60 frames visible on the south side, and the frames are protruding up to 1 m in height from the sands. The stem post is visible, and the stem post and some of the frame timbers have been sawn.
