Details Remains of curling ponds, depicted on the 2nd edition OS map to east of the town of Braemar. On the 5th edition OS maps, the ponds are no longer labelled as curling ponds (they are simply labelled 'ponds', and, in one area, 'Reed's Pond'). Much of the area formerly occupied by the ponds remains as open ground, and the stream which once fed the ponds is still extant. Curling ponds also once stood on the western edge of the village (NO19SW0010).
