Remains of farmstead, depicted on the OS historic maps, and recorded during a walkover survey, conducted by Alder Archaeology in October 2020, in advance of proposed woodland creation (NO25NE0079). The historic maps show three rectangular buildings arranged in an approximate U-plan open to the southwest, with a small rectangular building to the north. Further to the northwest is a rectangular building with attached enclosure. This northernmost building is shown as unroofed on the 2nd edition map. The farmstead is shown as unroofed remains on the current OS edition map, and was recorded as drystone ruins by the walkover survey (Feature 32). The site was also visited in 2023 during walkover survey by Alder archaeology (NO25NE0092) in advance of another proposed woodland creation. Much of the remains were overgrown with vegetation, but the outer boundary wall was recorded.
