Remains of a settlement and field system. Situated on either side of the military road are 23 turf or heather-covered circular huts. Some are set into the slope to form a level platform, necessitating a large bank on the downward side, the top sector of the bank being comparatively slight. Entrances which are ascertainable are all in the northeast and east quadrants. The small circle at NO 2753 9965 appears to be relatively modern because it is free of turf, but this is possibly due to reconstruction. It is circa 6m in diameter, with an entrance 2m wide in the southeast. Fields, defined by lynchets and the remains of field walls, are most prominent in the south of the system. They become progressively fewer to the north, but the ground can be seen to have been cleared, with several stone clearance heaps.
