Lodge, still in use, built in the later 19th century, probably while the estate was being leased to the royal family. It is a single-storey and attic, three-bay T-plan gate lodge to the east of Abergeldie Castle (NO29NE0001) with distinctive Gothic detailing to the south. The lodge is constructed from pink and grey coursed granite with deep bracketed eaves, predominantly timber sash and case windows, ridge stacks and a graded grey slate roof. A central canted entrance porch projects to the south (entrance elevation), rising to break the wallhead with a piended roof. There is a pointed-arch doorway with a two-leaf, four-panel door with pilastered jambs and a decorative Y-tracery fanlight above. Above is a small window and flanking windows with pointed arches and Y-tracery glazing pattern. There is a set of four gate piers to the east, two of which are octagonal with ball finial detail with a wide iron carriage gate. Flanking this are pedestrian gates with square coped outer piers, and to the south is a low rubble granite wall with rubble coping.
