Site of a quarry, depicted on the 2nd edition OS map. A substantial quarry site located on the east side of the Leoch Quarry (NO33NE0036). Servela quarry pits are shown on the 2nd edition OS map, as well as 8 cranes, a smithy, 4 buildings, a tramway (on the west side of the site) and two railway lines. One line runs along the original route of the Dundee and Newtyle railway line (as used also by Leoch Quarry). A second line runs south from the east side of the site joining the Dundee and Newtyle Branch Line on the north side of the line from Rose Mill Quarry (NO33NE0018). The quarry expanded after this time, but is shown as discussed by the 3rd edition OS map of the circa 1940s. At this time, the pits are still shown but the railway lines and tramway have been removed.
