House built in the later 19th century, with a 1903 extension attributed to James Findlay. It is L-plan, constructed of snecked rubble, harled at the sides and rear, with stugged courses at the front, harled at the first floor and with ashlar margins. There are single and paired windows, with painted canted windows at the front and sash and case frames with plate glass at the bottom, with a variety of glazing patterns at the top. The piended gabled slate roof has flat-coped skews, wall head and shaped gables, ridge and end chimney stacks. There are moulded cast-iron gutters at the front and sides. Towards the west end of the north elevation there is cheese press incised 'JO', which refers to one of the Sir John Ogilvys of Baldovan House (NO33SE0107). The property was owned by the Sharps of Balmuir House (NO43SW0009) from circa 1872. The house was extended for Mr Moodie, the surviving drawings showing canted dormers where there are now shaped gables.
