Workshop, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. Single-storey, rectangular-plan, constructed of coursed rubble, with 6-pane and 8-pane glazing patterns in fixed timber windows and with timber lintels to openings. The southeast elevation has a broad, full-height, 2-leaf timber cart/machinery door, a 6-part horizontally aligned and vertically astragalled window and a timber apron blocking a further former cart/machinery door. A traditionally lettered timber fascia board with 'KENNETH HANTON' is close to the eaves at the outer east side. The piended roof is Angus stone slated. The workshop building is a fine example of an outbuilding/cottage industry type evidently once prolific in Glamis village. Northeast of the Old Jail/Workshop (NO34NE0136).
