Approximate findspot of a cross-marked stone. Reported in 1998, it is a large, possible glacially deposited boulder. It was discovered, in the valley of a tributary of the Denoon Burn, by Mr and Mrs Brewster. It lies in an area of rough pasture which has never been cultivated. There are three simple crosses carved on different faces of the stone. These may represent boundary markers but the stone is not far from a medieval chapel and the Wester Denoon Pictish cross slab site, which may suggest an ecclesiastical connection.
