Depopulated settlement of Boginroll comprising enclosure with two longhouses, and two strips of rigs running Northeast/Southwest and East/West focusing on settlement. The OS 1st edition map depicts three unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and one enclosure. Aerial photographs (RCAHMS 2003) show the remains of at least seven buildings, two enclosures and a possible kiln. Most of the buildings are clustered on the east bank of the Allt Cholzie with two outlying buildings to the west. Two areas of rig lie to the east of the burn, enclosed by a substantial head dyke. Recorded as part of the Scotland's Rural Past Project, Boginroll comprises 10 buildings including a kiln barn, and four enclosures some quite distant from the main core. All the walls of the building in the main settlement are very tumbled. The land to the north, east and south of the main settlement is enclosed by a ditch and bank.
