Details Lodge, built circa 1880, as the former gate lodge for The Grange of Monifieth (NO43SE0027), shown on the OS 2nd edition map. Single-storey, L-plan made Z-plan by later addition, of rubble masonry construction with a base course and a slate roof with moulded stacks. Windows are mainly sash and case, some segmental-arched with raised margins, with modern metal frames at the addition. A 17th century armorial is inserted in the north wall of the garage, which derives from the former Durham Memorial Aisle at St Rule's Church, Monifieth (NO43SE0025). There are six gatepiers of tooled ashlar, moulded at the angles and with pyramidal caps.
