Coach house and stables for Balmuir House (NO43SW0009), dating from the late 19th century, with early 20th century additions at the north and the west. Originally rectangular-plan and made L-plan by the additions of the coach house, garage and stables. Single-storey, and single-storey and attic, constructed of rubble masonry with stugged dressings with a slate roof. Brick and timber additions have piended slate roofs. There are moulded bargeboards, distinctive chevron-boarded doors, 2-leaf sliding doors, hayloft doors, ventilation holes, ventilator windows and apex ventilators.
This building was probably designed by J M Robertson when he extended Balmuir House in 1892. An earlier building is shown on the OS 1st edition map and the 1872 estate plan, which may have been incorporated into the coach house and stables.
