Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition map shows a C-plan steading open to the southwest with attached long L-plan range forming an outer L-plan court on northwest and southwest, also with an attached horsemill. To the east is an L-plan farmhouse and garden. By the time of the 2nd edition map there had been some additions to the steadings, including infilling of the inner court, and the horsemill is no longer shown. There have since been some further alterations and additions. Four sculptured stones from the castle of Wedderburn (NO43NW0016) demolished some time after 1794, are built into the farm buildings.
