Bowstring steel girder bridge, still in use, carrying the public road over the River South Esk, built in circa 1900. It is also known as Craigeassie. The bridge has a span of over 100 feet (30 metres) between semi-lozenge piers of rock-faced red sandstone blockwork with crenellated tops. The approach walls are constructed from snecked rubble and end dies. The bowstrings have three stays to the outside, there are lattice parapets to the inside and decorative wrought-iron scrolls at the piers.
