Former estate offices, steading and stables for Noranside House (NO46SE0053), no longer in use, depicted on historic mapping. The stables / offices date from the early 19th century with mid-20th century alterations and infill to the former courtyard. Of Neo-classical style on a U-plan, the stables comprised a single storey and attic, 9-bay principal elevation with single storey flanking wings. There is a rectangular-plan infill block to courtyard. The roughly symmetrical south (principal) range has taller advanced centre and square end pavilions. It is built of squared and snecked red sandstone with raised ashlar margins, ashlar to advanced sections, and rubble to side and rear elevations. There is a painted band course at the ground floor to the advanced sections and an eaves course. The end pavilions have full-height slightly recessed round-arched detail with entrance openings at ground floor and square or oculus opening above. A standing building survey of the stables/farmstead was carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2015 ahead of proposed development.
