Period Notes

The lodge was built in 1852 with later 19th century additions. The former larder is probably late-19th century. The lodge was listed on 11/06/1971, and the larder on 15/01/1980.

Architect Details

Built by Wardrop and Brown of Edinburgh, architects. Due to the similarities in style with the later additions, listing notes that was possibly also done by Wardrop and Brown, although no original plans have been found. It has formally been incorrectly attributed to David Bryce, architect.
