It is sited to the east of Dinnet House (NO49NW0047), and close to the River Dee. The high rubble walls have bull-faced coping, and there are chamfered square-section gatepiers to the opening at the south, and similar piers to a blocked opening at the west. There are lean-to potting sheds to the outer elevation of the east wall.
