Details Lodge, still in use, designed by Alexander Marshall Mackenzie in 1890. It is a well-detailed single storey Baronial lodge house with two- and three-stage crenellated towers and gatepiers with fine ironwork gates, sited at the east entrance to Dinnet House (NO49NW0047) policies. There are polygonal, bull-faced gatepiers with deep stepped coping and large ball finials, flanking two-leaf decorative ironwork gates and outer pedestrian gates. While not known to have been built by A Marshall Mackenzie, the North Lodge (NO49NW0153) has similar details.
