Cropmarks of an unenclosed settlement recorded by the RCAHMS in 1976 and subsequently in 1983, 1988, 1993, 1996, 1998, 2001 and 2004. The complex of cropmarks includes rectilinear and curvilinear enclosures, three possible round-houses, a possible souterrain and rig and furrow. The rig is oriented roughly from northwest-southeast. A watching brief was maintained in August 2011 by MAS during the removal of a double electricity pole and four stay wires and the installation of two new stay wires for the 11kV overhead line at Pitskelly. No archaeological features or finds were evident. Geophysical survey was carried out by AOC in 2017: a number of curvilinear and linear features were identified.
