Remains of a barrow. According to Jervise the site of a large, earthen tumulus removed some years before 1856, although the Ordnance Name Book (1861) notes 'a remarkable knoll'. Urns and two or three cists containing bones are said to have been found in it. Only a low irregular swelling, said by the farmer to be a rocky outcrop, was observed by the OS when visiting in 1958.
